Michael Vey Rise of the Elgen

Michael Vey Rise of the Elgen By: Richard Paul Evans

Michael and his friends have escaped from the prison they were held in in Pasadena.. They are now on the run and trying to find a way to find Michael's mother, who was taken by Dr. Hatch.  Their escape is much harder then they thought, as when they return to Idaho they find that their families are also in danger.  A mysterious person helps them find a way to Peru, where Michael's mother is being held. What they find there is a even greater problem then they though, as Dr. Hatch has created a huge compound that is creating electric rats, and he is on his way to trying gain global domination, with his terrible evil ways.

This second book in the Michael Vey series does not disappoint.  Filled with action and some interesting plot lines, like rats created with electricity that will help take over the world, and a cliffhanger ending that leaves you groaning. Perfect read for middle school and up!  If you have not read the first book Michael Vey Prisoner of Cell 25, I highly recommend that you start there so that you understand the background.
