The Quiltmaker's Gift

The Quiltmaker's Gift By: Jeff Brumbeau and Gail de Marcken

The Quiltmaker makes the most beautiful quilts, and she only gives them to those that need them most. The poorest people she can find, she spends nights looking for these people to give one of her beautiful quilts to. But there is a powerful greedy king who wants one of these quilts for himself. The quiltmaker says that he cannot have one unless he gives away everything he owns. He is furious and so he finds ways to torment the quiltmaker hoping that she will give in and give him a quilt.  But she holds strong and he learns a very important lesson.

I love this book. What a wonderful lesson, read aloud, and just an all around beautiful book to read.

I was given this book as a gift
