Dak and his friend Sera have always been sort of nerdy and they do not care. He is obsessed with history and she is obsessed with science. Things in their time are controlled by the SQ, and so when they sneak into Dak's parents lab and Sera solves the problem with the Infinity Ring things begin to happen for them. They travel into time with Dak's parents straight into the revolutionary war. Things get heated up and they loose his parents in the past. only to come to the future to be captured by a group of people that are trying to correct the past. They are then set off on an adventure to keep the Infinity Ring safe and correct the wrongs of the past while trying to find Dak's parents.This is a perfect book for a 4th grade and up reader who likes adventure and science fiction. It had great characters and an exciting plot. It hooked you from the beginning and the action never let up. I think that if you liked the Percy Jackson series this is a new series for you.
