What Is Left the Daughter by Howard Norman

The main character, Wyatt Hillyer, is a middle aged man who decides to tell his story to his 21 year old daughter through a series of letters. It is an intriguing story told in a flashback way. The story unfolds in a very untraditional manner. We learn of his choices and demons that in the end explain current position in life. I enjoyed the setting, the Atlantic coast of Canada since it lended well to the dreary, dampness of Wyatt's life, past and present. The stories that occur deep and secretly are the most interesting!
